Patricia Richards Leather

Hello, I have been creating leather goods and costumes for over 40 years. I currently design and make leather totes, bags, pouches, funky fringe earrings, wallets, hand molded and hand painted leather cuffs and a cowboy / girl hat or two.
I work in my home on the south shore of Cape Breton Island. Each bag has its unique qualities and individual design. Only a small number of patterns are repeated and usually with different leathers.
When time allows, I do decorative molded leather vessels and bowls using leather, drifted tree bark, all finished with hand painting.
I try to source and buy materials from Canadian companies although, the leathers generally come from places like Mexico, Argentina, Italy, the USA, India.
I enjoy my work and am able to keep my prices very competitive by working from home.
