Couling & Co. was born from a dream, Bec’s passion for baking, and a love for sharing good food with great people. Our story started in 2023 in a tiny AirBnB kitchen, where Bec first began baking sourdough for Tori’s fellow nurses while she worked as a travel nurse in beautiful mainland Nova Scotia.
What started as a simple joy of feeding others quickly grew into something bigger—a calling to bring handcrafted, slow-fermented sourdough and delicious Gluten-friendly baked goods to Celiacs like Tori and to our community. With a leap of faith (and a whole lot of flour), we turned this passion into a full-time adventure. Now, we’ve planted roots on Cape Breton Island, excited to share our love of baking with our new neighbors. Every loaf we make is crafted with care, using time-honored techniques and the best ingredients to ensure each bite is something special.
