We look forward to welcoming you to the Mabou Farmers’ Market this season.

Hours of Operation:

Our Market runs weekly from the first Sunday in June until the long weekend in October. Our Market hours are 11am until 2pm. We ask customers to please wait outside of the arena until 11am to allow our vendors adequate time to set up.

Directions:

We are located inside of the Mabou Athletic Centre at 186 Mabou Harbour Rd.

If coming from Inverness: Take Route 19 south towards Mabou. In the village of Mabou, turn right onto Mabou Harbour Rd. Follow Mabou Harbour Road for 1km. The Mabou Athletic Centre is on the right.

If coming from Port Hawkesbury: Take Route 19 north towards Mabou. In the village of Mabou, turn left onto Mabou Harbour Rd. Follow Mabou Harbour Road for 1km. The Mabou Athletic Centre is on the right.

If coming from Whycocomagh: Take Route 252 towards Mabou. Once you reach Route 19, turn left towards the village of Mabou. Drive through the village, and turn right onto Mabou Harbour Rd. Follow Mabou Harbour Road for 1km. The Mabou Athletic Centre is on the right.

Parking:

There are two parking lots on site: the upper parking lot (entrance off of L’Arche Way) and lower parking lot (located off of Mabou Harbour Road). You are welcome to park in either.

Pets:

We love your pets! However, Public Health restrictions mean we cannot welcome pets inside the Market. Service animals are allowed with proper identification.

Accessibility:

Our building is wheelchair accessible. The upper parking lot is level with the entrance to the market, making it barrier-free. Please note that there are stairs to reach the entrance from the lower parking lot. There is a ramp into the arena so wheelchairs, scooters and strollers can access the Market. We have wide aisles, with lots of room for everyone to move, shop and enjoy our Market.

Washrooms:

Public washrooms are available on site. Women’s washrooms are located just to the right after entering the front doors. Men’s washrooms are down the hall on the right and around the corner at the end of the hall.

Water Cooler:

In addition to cold beverages sold by vendors, we offer a courtesy water cooler located near our dining area. Bring your own water bottle to fill.

Market Table & Market Money:

The Market Table is located on the right after entering through the main doors. You will find market staff answering questions, selling Market merchandise, and selling Market Money. In lieu of having an ATM on site, Market Money can be purchased using a debit or credit card and then used like currency at the market. It is offered in denominations of $5 and $25. If you don’t use the entire amount in one transaction, you will receive your change back in cash from the vendor. Market Money doesn’t expire and makes a great gift!

Playground:

The playground is for everyone! Please enjoy and please clean up after yourself using the waste receptacles located on site. Thank you!
